Helix first out of the water, again!

We were delighted when the new helix wetsuit exited the water first at its very first race, and now there’s more brilliant news from Ironman70.3 Auckland with a stunning one-two by Dylan McNeice and Jimmy Seear.

It may be the middle of winter for many of us in the northern hemisphere, but the new helix is in the safe hands of some of our pro athletes, including those racing in Auckland, New Zealand over the weekend at the Asia-Pacific 70.3 Championships.

New Zealand’s McNeice was first out of the water in 23minutes 14seconds over the 1900m swim. He was closely followed by Australia’s Jimmy Sear, who was just two seconds behind him.

One of our newest sponsored athletes, Leon Griffin (AUS) came through the field to finish second overall. McNeice finished in fifth place and Seear was ninth.

We’re now looking forward to seeing what our athletes can achieve at the upcoming Challenge Melbourne and Ironman 70.3 South Africa events.

We’re also looking forward to taking delivery of our 2015 suits for general sale. We’ve taken three years to deconstruct every suit. Some suits were tweaked slightly while others got complete panel overhauls. The level of athlete testing has been unprecedented with all suits being live in the field and coming out at the top of their class. These results further underline that the design guys got it right!
