McNeice and Vabrousek dominate opposite sides of the globe

In Israel, the Israman triathlon took place swimming in the Red Sea and traversing a landscape that rides the borders of Israel and Egypt.  Legendary Petr Vabrousek (CZECH) was nearly pushed to the finishline by home country favorite Tom Marmarelli to defend his Israman title this year. Vabrousek prevailed in the end adding to his list of over 138 professional Iron-distance events.
In New Zealand Challenge and Ironman events went head to head on the weekend.  Dylan McNeice (NZL) emerged first out of the water in a time of 46:25.  Dylan dominated from the gun to take the win.  blueseventy athlete Richard Ussher (NZL) earned the runner-up place.  Wanaka was a tremendous win for McNeice who is relatively new to the Iron distance. Dylan races in not only our helix wetsuit but also wears our tx2000 apparel when racing.
Auckland hosted the Ironman 70.3 Asia-pac championships.  blueseventy was well represented at the sharp end of the swim as indicated in this tweet from our athlete Mark Bowstead (NZL):
" rocking the swim leg  2nd, thru 5th out the water , then me."
At the end of the race Ritchie Cunningham (AUS) who is soon to be a blueseventy athlete was second on the mens podium. Ritchie is joining the Timex Multisport Team which is coming together for 2014 in the next few weeks. Local hero, Sam Warriner (NZL) battled hard deep into the race but fell out of notable contention by the finish and Michelle Bremer managed to take 4th on the women's side.
